please, please, can anyone tell me when the fireworks come to an end. Loud bangs going on around us for the last two weeks, sometimes late at night.

And I noticed that my local Aldi still had unsold fireworks on display on Tues. Nov. 13th.

You are assuming that fireworks can only be used for Guy Fawkes night. This week the Hindus celebrated Diwali, their festival of light. The Muslims have recently celebrated Eid, a holiday in their faith. Many people have fireworks for their wedding, and more and more are seen on New Years Eve
