Croydon Car Maker

Does anybody know is a there was ever a car maker in Croydon called Snow? If so it will probably be in the early 1900s. This is, I think, the answer to one of the clues in The Automobile crossword number 303 -
16 down "It might drift to Croydon manufacturer"
The letters I have are ?N?W. "Snow" seems the obvious answer but I can find no reference to a car maker of that name of whatever period. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Shooty, your link didn't seem to work when I tried it. Does Bob Stearn's publication mention a car maker called Snow in Croydon?

No. There was a long list that you could have searched through to see if anything would fit. try it again, it does take a few seconds to open up. Also bear in mind, this list only goes upto 1985. Good luck with your search for the answer.
