Mad over Fifties Club

The Club is now Open

Hello, good evening and welcome to all our members.

(Hasn't David Frost been putting himself about on TV lately ?)

Do draw up to the fire and get cosy for tonight's club.

After the great success of the talk 'Knitting patterns through the ages', the Committee tried to engage the same speaker to give the companion talk 'Crotchet patterns I have loved ' but sadly, she said that she was tied up. So, unless any members feel they can step into the breach, I am afraid we will have to forgo our talk tonight.

For the raffle so far I have

A bottle of Sanatogen
Six oranges
Two tubes of Polo mints
and three knitting needles sizes 10, 8 and 7.

Tailcocks, tailcocks! Get 'em while they're...droppy - they're lovely!
The TV lounge is open for anyone wishing to join me in watching the football highlights.

I have left the silver (coloured) bucket of tailcock, for flagon-dipping & Matron has the combination to the coat 'n' cape 'n' cloak cranny.
I must admit I shall watch the first one and then retire.....tail cock in hand, me thinks....

Thank you for the Chillies, Big Mac. Very considerate of you ....I'm sure we are all most obliged at this time of depression.

I'm sorry to admit this, but intake of Moondrops has been such that I am now unable to draw the raffle. I have, therefore , to pass this task on to whoever is sufficiently sober to do it.

Darned strong those Moondrops. Especially when Scotland have lost at the oval ball game. Sigh.
I am wearing my black armband this evening as a mark of respect for my fellow countrymen's loss, Milady
Anyone for a refill?? Have we abandoned the rofl tonight??

Nice to have solidarity, Nungate.

I'm afraid I have to retire now.
Please leave my raffle winnings in the usual place.
See you all next week , if we're spared. :-))
Night all, I must have dozed off
Well dear hearts, time for me to pack up the llama and wend my way homewards, and wake best beloved from his sleep on the sofa and tell him it's time for bed!
Until we reconvene in a sennight from now, good night all, and to all a good night!
Well, I return from the TV lounge to find the place deserted...

I shall start clearing up & hope I don't find Matron under a table somewhere.

Any stragglers, please drink up & collect your coats - drawbridge going up any minute now, aye thang yew!

Be well :-)
