I put two treat-size flakes in the fridge with the express intention of snaffling them on the sly and someone has eaten one of them - the house is awash with chocolate - I am blaming himself.

It could be that you have early onset dementia and forgot you ate it

If I had had the first one I would definately have had the second one at the same time!
that's advanced dementia, Mrs O - forgetting where ones flakies are.....
I have my hiding places for food I want to keep to myself. Anything in the fridge is too easily found.

Are you lot all closet squirrels?

I dont hide food, I keep it quite openly.....but my lot know they touch it on pain of death
Next time eat them straight away.(Now you've made me want chocolate.)

Flakies are better when they are cold...............
Urgh, why does the word "flakies" remind me of severe dandruff?
Question Author
Himself bought all the Christmas presents to we have a bin bag full of chocolates and sweets - all I hid were two treat-sized flakes. Note to self, find a bett hiding place (maybe by the iron or Hoover, he'll never spot them there).
Closet squirrels? Some people don't take the pain of death threat seriously so other methods have to be employed (over here in Germany, a cellar is quite common, and keeps things cool if the fridge is not a safe hiding place).
Its also what Kim Jong Il is being "crumbled" into - as seasoning for Korean turnip soup....
I've never eaten a flake since I saw a dried turd that looked just like one
Question Author
Can't imagine (and don't really want to know) how you came to see a dried turd Mrs O.
OK, shan't tell you!
A treat sized flake is so small that you could have forgotten that you've eaten it.... :-)
Question Author
I don't eat much chocolate as it gives me a bad head but I was looking forward to eating TWO flakes (himself bought mostly chocolate for the kid's will have to go and hunt the sweets and hide a packet for myself).
Serves you right for not hiding it better, chocolate in the fridge is fair game for any chocoholic who comes along. In this house with a pair of chocoholics it's a constant battle of wits as to who is going to get the last piece of choccie
