Mad Over 50's Club now open

Good evening members new and old, once more I am left in the lurch - I mean in charge as the Aristo's have toddled off to see some prestingdig... er pestergating er Magic Show.

The Aga has been well used today and arrayed on the long buffet table in the short gallery are amongst other things, a beautiful Roast Gammon joint (do carve as you require), some tasty Tandoori Chicken skewers with a Raita dip. All the usual nibbles and Tailcocks are there also.

This week's guest tipple is 'Magic Wand!' a truly amazing concoction and perfect accompaniment to the Gammon.

For the raffle I have;
2 cards of Kirby grips
6 Playing cards (all jokers)
Half a jar of Branston pickle
A dozen Liquorice teabags.

DTC I saw it and am so sorry not to have thanked you already, got wrapped up in the raffle. I love it, my late husband used to call me 'The Universal Soldier' your ode has an air of that about it, am very flattered.

Hello all, I'm back from the magic .

Gosh My gob has been well and truly smacked and my flabber ghasted tonight, I'll tell you.

Amazing stuff we saw. (And Paul Daniels just walking around like a normal (very small) person.)

Sadly lordalex would keep on volunteering to help out.
I managed to stop him most times until the very last act when he slipped out of my grasp and was on the stage in a flash.
It was the cutting into bits illusion and something went terribly wrong. (He is such a wriggler).
I've got his head home with me (all I could manage to carry) and they have promised to send on his legs and body within the week.
Well, I suppose he'll have to stay in his room for the present, so every cloud...
Glad the club is going so well tonight.
Got to go to bed now, tired out by all this sleight of hand.
(By the way, it was MagicFest we were at in Edinburgh. It's on for the rest of the week.)
