to play the National Lottery using your own set numbers each week, than to buy a Lucky Dip ticket each week with computer generated numbers.
Just interested, as a result of a pub chat yesterday.

makes no difference (and it's not luck, it's probability)
I've always had the same number... if you stick to the same numbers, they've gotta come up one day...

^ and there I do have a slight conflict.

I am (obviously) a techie person, so therefore understands probability and chance, that side of me knows luck and fate are a load of rubbish.

but I do believe in fate!
I bought my cousin lottery tickets for tonight...LD...I'm kinda praying he doesn't win as I have a feeling he won't share...

It's as likely that 123456 comes up as any other numbers..
lol, kit's chance.. the numbers 1-6 could come up every week!
kit's??!
Wouldn't he even give you some seeing as you bought the ticket, Ummmm?
The only difference as far as i'm aware is that the lucky dip numbers are a set of numbers that have not been chosen at the time of printing etc... so if all six came up on the draw it's all yours and not have to share it!

NM....I'm just hoping :-)

I think he will as I gave the card to his GF and I know for sure she will....
Ummmm... my dad's sister and her husband won 1.6m on the Littlewoods in 1993. They didn't give anyone a penny. My uncle even snubbed his own children from his first marriage. Money makes greedy people even greedier.
I have saved a fortune not doing the lottery
please_sir, my 6 random numbers haven't all come up either :o(

but the odds are the same
Please sir....it is just as likely as any other combination. You cannot argue with that...!!

NM....turned out to be n/;'p-=[ not nice people then.

Ginger sends his love. The way he shows it is n/;'p-=[ ......!!!!
There was a time where even if 123456 DID come up, so many would have that combo, you'd end up sharing with housands....might still be true

The odds are the same but the probability is far less.

How is that then???
