I plan to work abroud for severel years depending on my success. I wish to get rid of my apartment but then will have no forwarding address for my letters and banking statements. Is there a way or a type of PO Box I can set up for this type of situation?

Contact the Post Office for details of their re-direction service - you can keep the address you have now (even though you no longer live there or own the place) and mail will be forwarded to another address as required.
(easier than having to contact everyone to tell them your new PO box address)
In most towns and cities there are companies like Mail Boxes Etc, that supply mail boxes (funnily enough), and hold mail for you. Not too sure of the exact details, but have a look at http://www.mbe.uk.com/ . There are branches worldwide, and no, they're not paying me to say this! :) Otherwise, look at the Royal Mail website at www.royalmail.co.uk for further details on PO boxes. Remember though, that many mail order companies won't deliver parcels to PO boxes. Hope this helps!
