Sunday. It rained for most of yesterday, It's stopped now, but the cloud is still heavy. Could be more to come.

Tiggy had a friend joined him for supper last night. It was lovely to watch them together. Girls, start looking at new hats! :o}

Lol good morning and go tiggy!! Slight drama yesterday pup no 1 split his ear open we think on brambles! But after a quick examination and fall call to father decided no vet intervention was needed as you can't stitch this part of the ear. So lots of treats instead. Today we are dropping them off at the kennels so emotional all round.

Sorry WBM was just feeding the hoards! Off to California tomorrow for a driving trip finishing off in Vegas back in 2 weeks - longest they have been in kennels ever!

Morning DT. Yup, it was lovely watching them. There has been the odd interloper, but they have been swiftly seen off the premises. Time will tell.

Morning minty.
I painted the garden fence yesterday before the heavens opened, so back's objecting a bit today. Still, at least it's not raining- yet.

San Fransico, Yosimite, Monteray, Santa Barbara, LA, Palm Springs, Death Valley, Vegas.

Make sure you have everything you need for Death Valley islay. It didn't get it's name for nothing.

The Monterrey peninsula is beautiful, if somewhat manicured - very much worth doing the drive (about $15) and see Pebble Beach/Carmel. The aquarium in Monterrey is amazing - and one can see the whales out in the bay frequently.

To the south of Carmel is Big Sur...a restaurant, Napenthe, high over the cliffs, some 600 ft....however, if it is still there, there's a little place on the next bend down and they used to do amazing eggs benedict - a variation though, muffin, spinach, a massive thick steak-tomato and then the egg and hollandaise, one of the best in the world that I have had - and at one time, I was thinking of writing a book on eggs benedict.

Hearst Castle is worth a stop off too....home to the journalist family - and the infamous Patty Hearst.

Frisco is a fab place Islay..do the trip to Alcatraz..spooky !
