Would you be more likely to purchase a product that came with a celebrity endorsement , than one that did not have such an endorsement ?.

For example there is an ad on here with Mr Beckham , selling male cosmetics products

If I thought it would make my OH look like DB I'd buy it!
Doesn't it usually cost more if it has a celebrity endorsement? Doesn't make the said product any better.

I'm sure he looks better MargoTester

I couldn't give a Monkeys about celebrity endorsement, they're only doing it for the money.
I don't think celebrity endorsement ads are designed to appeal to the AB demographic. Unless they're Thora Hird or Micheal Parkinson.
Exactly Baldric...they could give the job to someone unemployed!
No. And when I see reviews on hotels or restaurants that I would like to visit and the blurb says that various celebs have been seen there, that would make me much less likely to visit.
Agree with Baldric............don't think for one minute that Helen Mirren etc colours her hair at home - she's being paid to advertise a product and she probably goes to a high class salon to have her hair done.
Remember Katie Boyle and Camay?
Not in the slightest, and anything advertised by Mr Beckham I'd assume is naff
Jackdaw proves my point.
My reply was tongue in cheek. I don't taken notice of of ads in general and buy what I know to be good or is perhaps recommended by a friend.

Oi! It's not my fault I have a very good long memory!
Henry Cooper once told me to "Splash it all over" and it stung like you would'nt believe... So NO I would not
Like a bee ?
Cooper has a lot to answer for. There are certain parts where it should definitely NOT be splashed, as I remember from when I was a 15 year old teenager!
As long as the elebrity has big ones.
I rarely watch any TV with adverts in it, and the same with radio, although I sometime listen to LBC, after The Archers.

LBC only seems to have about 3 different adverts, which are constantly recycled.
I never watch the radio either.
