Is on Fire! From my windows I can see tendrils of steam/vapour rising up from the lake. I guess there's a name for this phenomenon, but I don't know it.

It's quite eerie,both steam fog and Cleethorpes.
humber.......too right i have. I cycled from Peterborough to Cleethorpes with the girl of the moment, as the sand dunes were "inviting" (and so was she).

This was 1954 and there was only a "bigwheel" on the beach.

Never mind.......we had a good time....;-)

HS, yes, when it gets really cold. It's minus 40 right now. I think that the water is actually "warmer" than the air above it thus resulting in the "steam".
Steam Devils...formed when a body of water is significantly warmer that the boundary layer air above it
