Hurrah - a relatively easy solve after last week's more difficult offering, so no interruption to tomorrow's Eurovision! I rather liked the final PDM. Thanks Aedites.

And I was ready for any excuse to avoid Eurovision. I'll just have to turn on the back garden security light and watch the grass grow. A refreshing puzzle, but not a tough one. Thank you, Aedites.
Am I missing something, or are there a couple of length errors in a couple of the across clues?
hi Jim - they arr typos. A very pleasant puzzle with a very neat and aesthetic endgame. Many thanks to Aedites.
Apart from such a pair of typos, a very well-constructed puzzle indeed, particularly as regards the clashes. Thanks Aedites.
Yes all good fun and a welcome break after the challenge of last week. Not sure it will compel me to watch Eurovision though!
Far, far easier than last week, and nothing wrong with that. Thanks Aedites.
I enjoyed this puzzle.

I thought the top half of the grid was easier to fill. Some of the clues with two or three misprints had me flummoxed right to the very end. The method of resolution of clashes wasn't new but, nevertheless, enjoyable when the penny dropped.

Looking forward to the Eurovision sarcasm dished out by Norton.

Thanks, Aedites.
A couple of Alan Bennett Talking Heads on BBC 4 if Eurovision is too exciting to bear.
Oh yes, and the puzzle was quite enjoyable too.
I enjoyed this one, after a few weeks too full of Life for much Listener-ing. Full grid, just the final two words to find. Just that.
Good stuff. I think at least one poster will enjoy 32d.
Relatively relaxing after the last two weeks, though I still have two with clashes to complete. Did anyone, like me, put two incorrect corner letters in no. 4289 (Popularity Contest)?
Really enjoyed this one, very neat construction and despite disliking 'word searches I guessed the thematic character very early on so spotting it was a piece of cake. A welcome easy one but no less fun for that. Thanks Aedites.
Very clever construction, and no ambiguities. How long must these grids take to put together?!
I'm struggling with 3D. Got the rest of the grid, the clusters and the character. But the 4th letter doesn't seem to fit... Help gratefully received!
catteg01 - The AB police will get annoyed if an explicit answer to that is given here. However if you want to discusss my e-mail is [email protected]
Crossing over to the TV (how carefully I choose my words in the light of the result), did others see 13ac in the Jumbo: Competition traumatising innocent virtuosos' egos? (10,4,7). Perhaps other ABers could find a clue for MSD (5,7,6)?
3D was the last clue we solved. We had a plausible alternative (but for which the wordplay made no sense), but by counting the clashes, we were eventually forced to the correct solution.
Did anyone else make an initial plausible, but erroneous, assumption about the misprint in 17 across?
A neat treat from Aedites, featuring one of my favourite shrubs. As for Eurovision--not my cup of tea, alas, but I did tune in to see the final countdown and enjoyed the consummate acting skills of the eventual winner--all tearful emotion during the voting and then a steely performance at the end.
IainGrace -- I didn't make the erroneous assumption about the misprint but thanks for the prompt. I struggled with 17d. It was the last clue I solved. I understood the correct misprint, but I arrived at an unsatisfactory correct answer by a complete misparsing and stretching of most dictionaries' definitions. Looking at it again, I see the much simpler wordplay.
