I am completely beat on this! 33d He was enthralled, ordering last of the brands on TV. I have B?N?S?R?A?T. An answer with explanation, if possible, would be good. I would also be grateful if someone could explain why 18a - Lawlwss chief held in a Manx prison - is "ANARCHIC". (apart from the definition, that is)

Bondservant is the only one I can see, but don't have an explanation.

chief is ARCH - is there a Manx prison called NIC?
nick minus the k - as in manx cat without the tail
Anarchic- a nic(k) round arch
hm... Does that seem fair? Manx does not mean "tailless"; a Manx cat is tailless. Not sure I like the clue.
