duck!!!!
toon for starters
Lol, when I moved to uni in Stoke and someone called me duck I was like, what the f***!!!!
Although I'm from Norfolk some of the sayings do my nut in. My mate always says she learnt me rather than she taught me. or stuff like I driv hum. instead of I drove home.
Hey babes!

My bf is a West Midlander and his family drive me insane with some of the stuff they come out with! 4getmenot reminded me 'bout the 'learn me', bit... grr!

They say, "Oh, right! Did 'er? (her)". It's SHE! And, "No, he dain't!", which I think is supposed to be a mix of 'didn't and 'ain't'. Aaaargh!

LOL! :o) x

please dont get me started on midlanders, argghhhhhhhh 'borrow me a tenner' and pop for any kind of soft drink, really doesn't help when your working in a busy bar and some comes in and asks for a glass of pop! wtf narrow it down a bit why don't you.
My wife aggravates me when she says things like 'tates' instead of potataoes or even spud. And also when she says 'boos', instead of bus. 'Sweating cobs' is another and 'now then' when she answers the phone grrr!
LMAO mccfluff! Exactly! LOL! :o)
and I'm not being racist or anything before everyone jumps but why do SOME coloured people say Aks instead of asks?
Sam you've set me of here, buzzz instead of bus, how hard is it to say exactly?
mackums....."wees shees are these"
Bab i hate being called bab, and soz hate soz too

Sam see what you've done to me!!!!!!
LMAO (again!)...

Or just 'babby', mccfluff! :o)
Like most others here, I try and avoid the sayings, like "Gan yerm" for going home, and "A nar" for I know, I'm nee (no) snob, but they sound dead rough to me.! haha
I hate it when people say ...arks... instead of ask

Oi, im from the midlands Mcfluff,me duck! can't argue though, i hate the Leicester accent!
One thing my hubby says that annoys me though is tret instead of treated, as in i tret meself! or " i tret you to this", and yes, he was born around the corner from me.
im from london.with a cockney accent and i dont like my accent .wish i had a lovely posh accent.
I'm from the West Midlands but I have never heard anyone say any of the phrases whiskeysherri mentioned!
Hi sophie! LOL! I had thought it was just his family, but maybe it's just the particular area he's from? :o)
