Bt Vision Remote

Gone dolally again.
Any advice apart from calling the help line?

Take the batteries out, leave it for a minute and put the batteries back in.

Done that, even tried new batteries,
Nail polish instead of TV watching.

Try switching the BT box off at the plug socket for a few minutes, Daisy. Could be that the box may need rebooting.

Press a button and it may react 15-30 seconds later. Sometimes not at all.
Changing channels can take up to 5 minutes. Rewind goes back about half an hour.

It's probably a loose connection within the remote then, I think you may need a new one.

It has already rebooted itself once this evening.

I'd suggest along Tony's line's but we don't switch off at the socket, we switch off the BT Vision box for 3 seconds then switch it back on, so it resets.

Our rewind goes back about 3 minutes.....

If rebooting doesn't work try giving the remote a smack with a 2lb lump hammer ;-)

Tried asking for a new one last time it happened. Just told to reboot the remote which was a pain.

We had similar, rang helpline, followed their 'push this push that' instructions for about 3 minutes, no problems since!

I had to unplug stuff from vision box, not easy when it is in a cabinet with wires going through the back of the cabinet to the electric socket.

That sounds like me trying to reboot my BT Home Hub from India, take the yellow cable out of the box the stuff came in, wrap it round the back of my desk behind the front door, trip over cat.....

boxtops, was on my hands and knees wrestling the thing out of the cabinet, would only come out sideways, then hold it whilst trying to pull out this, count to ten put it back. Oh! Where did it come from? Say again please I can hardly hear you. Juggling phone and box and leads.
Perhaps I will just read this evening.
