Really can't choose, 3 dogs, 1 cat in this menagerie
Our son has a lovely border collie we take for walks, also we have a cat, he brings his mates along for breakfast, lunch, etc
I think dogs are wonderful but they constantly need humans to think for them. I'd much rather be bossed about by my (five) cats ;-)
I have got dogs but I like cats too.
Don't care for cats really seem a bit pointless and bit cross with the species because they use my sons garden as a toilet
NOW dogs are another matter - would dearly love one but I would not make a good owner at this stage in my life - just cannot make the commitment
Wish they had a rent-a-dog scheme ( I probably couldn't commit to that either)
If your dog is in your favourite chair all you need to do is look at it.
It will get out of your chair, offer to fetch your slippers, then happily curl up at your feet.
BUT, your cat will yawn, look at you with one eye closed, then give you the "finger".
I know which I prefer.
Cat lovers seem almost fanatical about how much cleverer cats are
My repost is always "yes cause I'm always hearing about guide cats for the blind or sheep cats"
Oh but cats are too clever for that they reply
But not too clever to avoid a car I think
Especially when I'm driving ;-)
If cats are so clever, why can't they learn anything useful?
Sorry to hear that 1ozzy
Whilst I don't care for cats .......
There was a "wink" at the end Ric.ror.
Hmm...bad humour on my behalf I suspect.
Oh just spotted that
I know what you mean ;-))
Like both, but don't have the time necessary to keep dogs therefore have two cats.
I like both but I prefer cats as a pet because they don't need the same level of commitment.
I like both, but definitely a dog person really. They're so affectionate.
I love cats, and absolutely could not live with a dog.
I've had both but settled on cats because they don't eat my carpets when I'm at work.
It's a dog for me every time. Even if you don't feel like going out for a walk in the rain, with a dog, you have to. Much better for you.

Actually, I don't like cats.
Dogs, cats give me asthma and make me sneeze.
Both but if I HAD to make a choice dogs.
No you don't necessarily have to walk dogs in the rain. Most of mine have looked out of the door when its raining and gone "Its okay you go and enjoy yourself, I'll stay here in the warm." Its a myth that ALL dogs need to be walked every day, especially if you have got a decent sized garden.
