So?
And how many people have died in car crashes today?
Yep, noticed it. Didn't know anyone on board, doesn't affect my standard or quality of life, won't change the way I or my loved ones live. Therefore, I'm not going to worry about it.

Count a plane crash is rarer than a car crash no?
Mcmouse Im not asking you give a flying f*** about it Im just bringing it here because it's newsworthy to those that are interested in it.
But why is it more newsworthy?

Bob so should we have that attitude for all of our boys that come back in bodybags from Afghanistan?
Question Author
Ask the guys that make the news count.
As bob is in the RAF I personally wouldn't have asked him that question.........
I saw it on the news. Who is interested in it? Why start a thread on it?
BC, if you were one of the people who has died today then it makes no odds to you whether it was a clot in your blood, a lampost, a bullet, or the ground, thats killed you. You're still dead. The way your post is titled indicates the fact that we should all start grieving for the victims of the Pakistani Plane Crash. Sorry, but in the time it's taken me to write this I should imagine several hundred people across the world have died, and several hundred more have just been born.
BC, considering I have LOTS of mates in Afg, and have lost friends out there, then that does have a bearing on my life. So I do care, along with most people in this country who know somebody serving, or the family of somebody serving.

That's a fair answer. Craft are you saying that we should be mindreaders and know what profession other users are before we ask questions? And even if I did know me and bob are having a fair discussion and he can see I meant no offense by it.
BC, your spot on actually. If I had absolutely no connection with the military, then I wouldn't mourn for someone I'd never known. I would be concerned about the loss of life, etc and the results of the conflict. However, with the plane crash, accidents happen but it isn't going to stop people flying.
bc....this is the News section and what you have highlighted IS news.
well I'm a bit surprised at the responses here. of course it's a terrible thing, and it's newsworthy.. yet you're all shrugging your shoulders. I am quite shocked.

I'm also working, so will check back for incoming abuse later!
shouldn't think it will affect anyone in the UK - nobody here flies Airbuses, do they?
Question Author
That's true bob.
You`re all heart you lot - your sympathy knows no bounds!
A Lufthansa cargo aircraft crashed in Ryadh and as they always go in threes, let`s hope no-one you know`s on the next one!
Question Author
That's also true sqad.
Sara, i'm not shrugging my shoulders, nor am I disregarding the news value of this incident.
What i'm saying is the initial title of the post rather than just saying "Pakistani Plane Crash" was inflammatory. The OP was asking a question, and I answered as to why I had not paid any attention to it.
