he will go whever the money is
It would be, but I'm not convinced he won't go to Spurs instead.
He has signed for Liverpool and will undergo a Medical in next 48 hrs !
He has signed for Football reasons and not the money..
Redman, he has signed for football reasons???

So that he can play against FC Mickey Mouse in the Europa League qualifiers?
He wants to play...thats his main driver I think ...he was like it as a youngster in his WH days
Redman you are not that gullible, Chelsea to Liverpool for football reasons? I dont think so

I got bored and gave up reading halfway through that other question on newspaper articles so didn't realise that the replies had included the news on Joe Cole.
Put your cards on the table Joeluke, where do your allegiances lie as you seem intent on putting down anything anyone else says.
He wants to play first team football ...he can't even get off the bench for Chelsea...his contract was up I don't blame him for looking for another club...I'm glad he's gone to Liverpool they looked weak all last season and the premiership is more fun when they are playing well
Exactly rowan, I agree entirely. He deserves regular first team Football and Roy Hodgson will give him that...
Red.....am not 'putting down anything anyone else says'

Remember when Gareth Barry was going to sign for Liverpool 12 months ago? but ........then he suddenly decided to join Manchester City for 'footballing reasons'...........(oh and the far higher wages they were offering)?

For Barry read Cole
Salaries at Chelsea....salaries at Liverpool......even on a renegotiated contract he'd get more sitting on the bench at the bridge... West ham apparently wanted him back too... so not the same at all...
Ok then lol i stand corrected, I agree with Rowan, he wants first team football and I'm very glad to have him!
Rowan.....Cole would never have joined a struggling club like West Ham........He wanted first team football but with the highest bidder

So many cynical people. Perhaps one footballing reason for him to go is that at Liverpool he'll be one of the bigger fish in a pond that's had too many minnows added over the last couple of seasons.
If it was first team at west ham and it was the only other offer he'd have gone.... as it is he will get European footie as well and I hope he shows Mr Ancelotti what he has given away....none of the current chelsea management have had him fit for long enough to play at his best...
Cole had a bad injury in 2009 which kept him on the sidelines for around 8 months,
if Chelsea thought he was still as good as he once was they wouldn't have let him go for nothing

Perhaps he thinks Liverpool are still going to be playing in the Champions League because he did state he wanted to join a club playing in that competition.............unless it was a lesser club who offered him more money that is
If that had been the case he'd go to Spurs... Lets see what the season brings... I think youve been attacked enough today Joeluke...
If Cole stays fit, and I will be the first to emphasise the word "IF" I would like to think that a few people who have posted here today will be eating their words come next May.
