I've just jumped out my skin. The Woman near me just sneezed so loud. Why do people do that? why cant people sneeze quietly?? or at least normally? Do they have to let out a screeching howl??

I sneeze a lot. Most are normal ones but sometimes a really big one comes on suddenly.
Oh I'd have to stuff your nostrils up umm & hope you implode ;0)
I must admit, I find it nigh on impossible to sneeze quietly. I do try, especially in public or at work, but it's always of high decibel.
I hate it when customers come in and proceed to sneeze all over the place and then walk away and leave their bacteria floating in the air where I have to work all day grrrr.

But why? I dont understand does it come out a different way than other people that it has to make that horrible shrilling sound that goes straight through you
I have slow build up sneezes that I can control the sound, but also get ones that come on really suddenly which tend to be louder.
I always always hold my hand in front of my face when sneezing - those that just sneeze their snot and virae all over the place are disgustingly selfish.

My sneezes aren't shrill - just sudden and loud.
some you just cant help, the explode out of you without warning.

ps, Im here today!
"I always put my hand in front of my face"

Is that....you know.....just in case salla?
I put my hand over my face then wipe my saliva on Ginger :-)
I did some temp work in an office and spent the first few days puzzled by the frequent sounds of a table being rapped loudly.

When I eventually asked, a colleague explained that the chap concerned had the most explosive sneezes which startled everyone around him. They had worked out an equitable solution whereby whenever he felt a sneeze approaching he rapped the table to alert those around him of its impending arrival and giving them time to brace themselves.

I had never noticed the sneezes and once I had had my attention drawn to them, I found them to be quite weeny when compared to my Dads..
ummm... you do make me laugh about poor old Ginge.
LOL ummmm
He's a lucky bloke that ginger
Hey, he wiped a bogey on me the other day......
Does he make you smell his farts too?!
Yep....he winds them my way.

I had some standards but he's gradually wearing me down and I'm becoming as bad as him.

He ate my scab once.....lol
OMG I now feel quite nauseous....

Did I actually call him poor old Ginge?!
ewww I wish I hadn't read that :-s I hope it was by accident ummmm!
