i moved out of my house with my girlfriend as we were not getting on. we recently got double glazing installed in my name. i told her that i would pay for them but she has recently turned very nasty, trying to pull all kind of stunts. am i within my rights to take the windows out and take them with me as they are in my name and i am paying for them? childish i know, but i have tried my best with no results!

Windows are not part of the fixtures and fitting in the property - they are part of the structure.
I assume you are planning to 'reclaim' part of the equity in the property at some point when it is sold. Having DG is part of the 'asset value' in the house. It wouldn't be very helpful in this regard if you tried to remove the windows.
