Hello, im hoping for a little advice, my dad does wood turning and i would like to get him a wood turning book, he is not a pro and he isnt a beginner either, has has made some very pretty wooden bowls and things alike so what sort of book would you think i should get for him as i have no idea what so ever, any input greatly recieved. Thanks.

If you wrap a washing line round him and pull really hard he will spin with the required velocity. Remember to hold the wood perfectly still though. Hey presto a super Blue Peter wooden bowl!

Hi Tamirra - instead of a book, I think a subscription to a wood turning magazine might be a nicer present ! He would get something to read on a regular basis, lots of different projects to try, quality advice, and the specialist suppliers advertise in those magazines so he can then get hold of equipment and materials.
