Our great leader Tony Balir has thought it wise to use public funds to film a day in his life, post it on a government funded website, and used it to attack Cameron the leader of the opposition. A good way to spend our money you think?

I wouldn't expect anything less from our great president!

'Attack' is quite a strong word; at best it's a bit pointed.

Blair says being leader of the opposition "does not prepare you quite adequately for the difficulty of doing the prime minister's job". David Cameron will be completely aware of that fact. Firstly, it's true, secondly, rather banal and thirdly, easily rebutted - one could have said the same about TB or Major or Thatcher etc etc. Not, I imagine, a great insight that will go down in history, certainly nothing to get Cameron upset.

Such films are not unique to Blair - Bush has done a similar thing in the US and they are regarded as an opportunity to shine a bit of light on how government actually works. With the numbers of people not taking part in the democratic process, anything which does attempt to engage the voting public is a useful exercise.

surely not another anti Blair rant from Dom Tuk..... ??

gevs i know some of you would rather i kept quite about it,sure you would like it very much, but hey i am not so forgiving and moreover if someone else were to be PM and we are both on AB make sure you respond when Cameron gets the Dom Tuk treatment if he were to behave like the present incumbent.
Personally I think it's incredible - the man takes us to war on what turns out to be false pretences. Billions spent, who knows how many dead and we're debating whether or not he should have spent public money on a PR film!

my point is you only ever look at things from one side of the fence.

I have my own objections to things that he has said or done in the past but can still look objectively at what he decides to do each time.

In this instance, using a small amount of public funds to provide an insight into his daily routine, which incidentally has been called for by many members of the public by the way, is not a gross misuse of public money by any stretch of the imagination.

An excellent use of public money IMO.

Yawn.
