Was sorry to read of the death of George Kennedy, Oscar Winner for 'Cool Hand Luke' He was 91 and his list of film appearances over the years is very impressive. Remember him in The Dirty Dozen well.

RIP George, a life well lived.
He was the one who got a dig in the ribs on the running step of a military ambulance when acting as an umpire in a war games exercise wan't he.?

That's the scene I remember best retrocop.
Not gone to believe this. I was flying a glider on Hendon airfield at the filming of the dirty dozen entering the aerodrome to the accompaniement of the band.
You can see my glider in the background about level with the A41 if you look carefully. I was a staff cadet on 617 Gliding School at the time. The convoy passed a checkpoint on the approach to the aerodrome. I lived in a road just behind it called Peel Drive and part of Hendon Training School.
I believe you Retrocop ;)
George Kennedy was my favourite "B movie" actor. I saw him in many an afternoon film when I was "thrown' a sickie" from school, then later from work ;)
RIP George
