Naaaah!..I am sure the physiologists and "back room boys" will come up with some "cock and bull" research which will show that a "cuppa tea" will cool you down more than an nice ice cold drink.
Rubbish! if it is hot in the sun, or anywhere else for that matter, then an ice cold drink is the answer.
Can anyone remember the film "Ice Cold in Alex?"
John Mills after facing the heat of the North African desert, finally staggering into Alexandria, did not ask for a "nice cuppa" but an ice cold drink of beer.

I think that those in the "Scientific Know" know all about the TRPV1 receptor and it's mechanism in the body regarding hot drinks cooling us down. Hot drinks do cool you down quicker but cold drinks are more refreshing and to the poster quoting from a film, seriously? The body would have been gagging for electrolytes and water not a dehydrating poison but it was a film and I guess he just wanted to get *** especially if he was from the uk.
Broseph.
\\\\\The body would have been gagging for electrolytes and water\\\
LOL...I thought that the "boys" would be along shortly....BEER has a plentiful supply of carbohydrates AND electrolytes........what more could you want?
But i agree he would not a better supply of fluid than beer, as beer is dehydrating (after a time)
