My boss asked me to make a tea for him , but then criticised me for carving it out of Beech instead of oak - ungrateful so and so

He was a lovely boss. He also thought that if you called people by their first name then you should also be called by your first name, no matter how high up the tree you were.
His attitude was that everyone's job was of equal importance. As a result I think he got more out of all the staff.
Saying that, he did make me tea when I was pregnant and couldn't walk very far due to a knackered pelvis.

Kvali....quite.
Most people start as the "team maker" then work hard to improve their lot, so that one day they may be the "boss."
Others who have no ambition who does "just enough"..will always remain as "tea makers".
Seems fair to me.
if I ask you to make me a cup of tea, as your boss.....bloody make one.
