I contacted the ed on the 9th (Friday) to ask him to contact Sandy. I think that he is having a bad time with his sister and may not wish to come back to see us after his last post.

I am concerned, Conne let slip his sister's name in a post so she may know him or know of him - but I didn't want to get her involved if possible.

I've been touched by the concern about my well being. I've just been taking a bibulous break from AB for a while.
My sister had two opportunities to go in for her hip operation. On both occasions she agreed only to call it off at the last minute. The knowledge that she'll never do it and that her mobility will only get worse was the straw that broke the camels back.
I haven't the head for drink that I once had and a bottle of wine of an evening is more than enough now.
I'll be back.
