Before bedtime. I always buy Pepsi Max. Today I could not be ar$ed with going to Asda to buy it ( I hate that shop, I go once a month for Mics Script ) I digress, In Aldi I bought a zero sugar cola 42pence. I expected it to be awful, but it wasn't. It tasted no different to Pepsi Max. So are the brand names ripping us off.

That zero sugar stuff will have aspartame in it. Not good.

Some non branded drinks are as nice as the expensive brands.

Others are not.

Waitrose Essential lemonade is great.

I really like the co-ops tonic. I much prefer it to the more expensive brand. Less acidic, it seems.

At the end of day it comes down to personal taste.

I think it's always worth doing a taste test. Some things are a lot cheaper yet taste just as good.

You have to ask yourself, why would other countries ban it???

It's in most diet drinks, and diet foods. Also all chewing gum.

Without getting technical ... aspartame is a poison that is used on "diet" fizzy drinks.

On the can, they tend not to describe it as "a poison"
