"There you go" I said, handing over exactly £2.80.

"Sorry sir, you're 70p short" she replied.

"No I'm not love," I smiled, "if you think I'm paying the VAT you've got another thing coming."

The Maths is wrong, the VAT componant on a £3.50 cup of coffee isn't 70p, it's 58.333333333333p, but I agree with the sentiment! Starbucks coffee is horrible, Costa's much better.
