At 8 o'clock it was lashing down and very windy. Now it is calm with not a cloud in the sky ~ amazing!

It must've severely lashed it down in the early hours of the morning. In the 7 years I've cycled to work I've never seen surface water like it.

There was a huge shin deep flood across the road near work and the traffic was backed up as each took a turn to crawl through it.

Funnily enough the only abandoned vehicle was a Land Rover, obviously gone through too fast and broken down.

I normally avoid weather conversations like the plague but it's been interesting here recently.

It goes from furious winds (that pulled me out of the door I was holding on to) to glorious calm sunshine. It changes every couple of hours.

06.30 it was hammering down, now the skies are clear blue and the sun is shining. It's a bit nippy but I can stand that as long as the rain stays away.

It is in Stockton-on-Tees right now. Rain and windy at 9:00 a.m. but sunshine and blue skies now. Still windy though and not too warm.

It was horrendous here this morning cold torrential rain and wind - now its like a different season never mind day! Glorious sunshine is it coming from the north or the south though?
