I listened to Evian this afternoon and thought, if your only worry in this world is people spelling your name wrong you are in a sad place. People often put the letter S on the end of my surname. So what. On the other hand Mrs MM is having trouble with her pension because of the difference of two Christian names. You would think her National Insurance number would suffice. Apparently not. It sounds to me that they are trying to get out of paying. Mrs MM is made of strong stuff, she won't let it go.

People struggle with my surname. Even the school teachers pronounce it wrong!!

surely you would be in a very happy place if that was your only worry?
Don't be too hard on Evianbaby micmak, just because she's not in a bad place. I'm sorry for all your woes and for those of mrs micmak but lashing out at other users won't help and it will only cause bad feeling. I know it's easy to think other people are trivial when you've had very bad very serious things to deal with, and they are seemingly fussing over nothing, but really it's not their fault.
not enough M's umm ?
My surname is Sherrard (no surprise there) and I have had people tell me that I am mistaken and that it is actually Sheppard (and I mean bank officials, etc) - really irritates me.
do they not say all the Ms, ummmm?
Sorry, Has something happened??

Well, it starts with M :-)

It's quite a famous name....You'd think teachers would be able to pronounce it!!
i suppose we all have our own issues at times, some we share, some we dont !
Ummmm - whilst pretending otherwise, most of the teachers I know are as thick as pig s**t. (Obviously this sweeping generalisation doesn't include myself, himself or any teachers on AB.)
"Don't tell him Pike ..."
I've heard two ways of pronouncing it, ummmm; I'd ask on first meeting which you preferred.

Not quite sure what EvianBaby has to do with any of this, really.

I wasn't lashing out nox. I would never do that. If Mrs MM pension does not materialize no problem. We have more than enough.
muffgobbler is quite famous around here
Micmak, it was a light hearted segment in the show. A nice distraction from my real worries.
You know what mic, im a bit pissed off that you are happy to assume i have no problems in my life.

I actually just came on here right now to try and take my mind off other things that currently have me in tears. But i do apologise for not making sure everyone in the world knows my deepest darkest problems and that i dare to try and have a short moment of inane chat.

Dont presume you have a clue about a complete strangers life, because you dont.

Glad you turned up Evian. I was beginning to think everyone thought I was mad.
Hey :-(

Don't row you two....x
I do think it's a bit off micmak that you chose to name a fellow member and trivialise her is all. It felt like at the least a criticism towards her if not lashing out.
I've booked tables where they've spelled my surname Lenin! Considering which part of the country I'm you'd have thought that would be further down the list that what it actually is!!
I cant be bothered, im not in the mood.

Night all.
