I don't have any.
I've just my brother left now-sister died almost 19 years ago. Though he is 11 years older,we've always gotten on very well...never had a fight. He's a best friend-shame he's 3,500 miles away.

I've two elder sisters and we've always been close even as kids, though we often had fall outs. We still live with-in 10 miles of each other and its a rare week when we don't meet up at least twice
I have one of each. We are very close but don't live in each other's pockets. We text or chat regularly and I see my sister perhaps once a fortnight (although the FH spends more time with her than I do - they have a common business interest). It's great because we are always there if we need each other but not claustrophobic.
I have a twin sister who has recently turned into my mother (very judgemental and opinionated about how OTHER people live thier lives but blind to her own faults), a younger half-brother and half-sister who I rarely speak to but would do anything for and a half-sister by my real father and his wife who I have never spoken to.
I have one of each, several years apart in age - when we meet, we all get on very well, but we live in different parts of the country.
I have an brother and older sister. My brother lives a couple of miles away and my sister lives in Somerset. I have a far better relatioship with my sister.

I used to say I loved my brother as a brother but not as a person, sadly I stopped loving as a brother. He died three years ago...no..he didnt die ,he walked into the sea off Cornwall, quite deliberately.

Redhelen - how do you feel about not talking to any of them? How has this come about - a family rift ?

Janzman - that sounds really sad..so sorry

I have a sister and brother -both very busy in their careers -sis is 10yrs younger and brother is 3yrs younger.Get on very well when we can bypass the mother-not often but my brother was my rock when I had a really really bad time (and no I havent touched on it here so wind yer necks in)-he even came through in the middle of the nights a few times -I am very lucky and blessed to have him as my brother -I adore and admire him -he is the kindest person I have ever met and its a pleasure to call him my brother.
my bro is one of my best mates as would be my sis if she was still about

That is very comforting Dris, it is invaluable if you are a close-knit family and you know you can rely on siblings to be there for you no matter what. I know I would get in my car and drive to see my brothers and sister no matter where or when they needed me, no matter what has happened between us..I will always be there for them.
Use to be very close to my Sister....don't speak to her anymore. Didn't realise until something bad happened that she's actually a really jealous bitter person.
I must ad...my family is massive. I have Uncles that are more like brothers...Aunts like sisters. The only one I don't speak to is my actual Sister...
PP -we arent a close knit family but I do get on with my brother and sister if we can keep my mother out of the equation -I wouldnt like anyone to think that I had the perfect family as I dont but we overcome the obstacles and are there for each other and that is the main- thanks for your kind comments.......I just had to clarify:) x
Sorry for you loss janzman. That's sad ummmm. I think Sisters are extra special. Mines 15 years younger than me and I helped bring her up as my Mum was ill. She left to live in New Zealand and it hurt like hell. I adore my Brother, he's one of the nicest people I know.
