If terrorist trying to blow up a plane carrying 100s of people including children are proven guilty in court, do you think they should be executed to deter others trying the same?

No, just throw them in jail for life - allowing them to die is what they were expecting anyway.

Executing a suicide bomber would be an exercise in futility. If they failed in blowing up the plane and were executed, it wouldn't exactly put off any other potential suicide bombers, and it wouldn't be any skin off the nose off the person being executed...it would be no more than an 'occupational hazard'.

Incidentally - the guy this weekend burned his genitals off.

I've always believed that the punishment should fit the crime, so perhaps he should be placed in a cell and told that at some time in the future he will be blown up, then do it. (Perhaps his family and friends should be included).
