if you could start from scratch. how would you change the way our country (UK) works? I dont mean as in political changes, like with NHS and policies etc. I mean changes that would effect everyday lives.
for example, i would make it so a working day started at 1400 - 2200 instead of 0900 to 1700. Shops would stay open until about the same time. This would be an interesting idea...nights out would become mornings out! Would this mean "safer" streets? With most people asleep in bed by 0400 when the real drinking begins. The sun starts rising usually between 0430 and 0530 depending on the season, so would crime be lower if most drinking is done during day light hours? id like to find out!
Schools would be different as well. Instead of kids choosing what subjects they want to when they go to high school or college, they can choose when in junior school. of course english maths and science would still be compulsory.
I would try to find a way to create a society whereby people are helpful towards each other. destroy this "not my problem, dont know who they are" culture. How that would happen i dont know?
Im not sure about religion...im not religious myself, so thats a blind spot for me.
