I bet you didn't read this in the news this week did you?
On Thursday, at Leeds Crown Court, an illegal Iranian immigrant was convicted of male rape. The boy he raped was a friend of my daughter. He was given 6 years and will be deported when he's served his sentence. But we don't want to publicise that and upset the foreign nationals do we?

What amazes me is why the taxpayers have to pay to keep this man in a British jail for 6 years. Just deport him NOW!

That's right - there are never news items about foreign criminals in the paper are there?

It is nothing to do with protecting foreigners and everything to do with protecting the identity of the boy.
As the law requests.

Well when they commit AWFUL acts like this then I for one love to see it publicsed, then people will gradually realise that all this multicuteral talk is just rubbish.
Our lack of control on illegal immigration provides cases like this time and time again.
This will probably effect the young boy for the rest of his life, just because some piece of scum manages to get into this country illegally.

So when an immigrant commits a crime, multiculturalism is rubbish.
So when a British citizen commits a crime its ......................
Please feel free to fill in the blank.

What about all the Christian folk who are in prison for murder, manslaughter, rape, assault and God knows what else?

Oneeyedvic, why do you repeat the answers from other users?
This boy wasn't bothered about his name being in the papers. But his parents aren't even aware that this happened, let alone a trial and a conviction. He didn't want to put any pressure on them.
The guilty person pretended he did not understand English, much to the annoyance of the judge. He clearly understood what was going on, as he started to answer lots of questions then pretended he needed an interpreter.
I wouldn't argue with any answers on this, except to say that when it comes to issues involving Middle East and Asian people, there seems to be some kind of fear which comes over everyone with regard to talking about anything they are involved in, probably because of all the ridiculous political correctness involving them.
Multiculturalism IS rubbish. The vast majority of people in this country are not interested in it and don't want it.
Perhaps those that do, just walk round all day singing "Imagine".

19:30 I am afraid the koran says it is OK to rape a boy before he reaches manhood.
Any reputable reference to back this up or you read this in Daily mail.

Have to agree with Skyplus for once. There are no such references in the Quran.
Not exactly unusual for Minter's feeble claims to be complete fantasy, however.
Also note the victim was a man, not a boy. Is male rape not horrific enough that a suggestion of kiddie fiddling had to be added?
By the way, it's interesting that not even the ultra right-wing bloggers or facist organisations seem to have reported on this story. Since they normally love any suggestion of non-white's ciminal tendencies, you might think they would report on it.
Since this man has been found guilty and sentenced, any chance of a name? Under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 there is no anonymity for rape defendants unless to do so might identify the victim. This cannot be the case in this instance, so no reason why it would not be a simple matter to establish the facts of the case.

Let's get this in perspective. One group of people in the Western world stands out as responsible for the most sexual assaults. Their victims are usually defencless children in their care.
The group is Christian ministers especially in boarding schools. Their known victims number in the tens of thousands. Tens of thousands more dealt with the assaults in their own way and don't want to revisit the crimes against them. The perpetrators were almost invariably protected by the church heirarchy and transferred to other areas where they reoffended.
The Pope has already made a formal apology in the USA and the Catholic Church had been selling off property to fund the compensation claims.

I thought from the opening post the victim was an under age child, not a man.
It doesn't lessen the agony for the victim but does put a very different slant on it.
Well done to the judge and jury for finding this man guilty - in any rape case between adults it is very difficult to prove.

Oneeyedvic, why do you repeat the answers from other users?
Its called quoting, and it means that people can realise to which post I am replying to.
Have you read the Daily Mail? I think you should try it - you will love it.

Maybe I'm being naive, but if it were a young relative of mine, I wouldn't give a flying toss about the nationality of the attacker.
I certainly wouldn't use it as yet another stick to beat the immigrants with.
Nasty.

"This boy wasn't bothered about his name being in the papers. But his parents aren't even aware that this happened, let alone a trial and a conviction. He didn't want to put any pressure on them."
Those sentences don't quite follow. He didn't care if his name was in the paper but he didn't want his mother to know? Well, that's exactly how mothers find out: if they don't read the papers themselves, friends will do so and tell them. So it seems lack of reporting may suit him after all (and I hope you aren't running round telling people what happened; that might also get back to his family.)
Anyway, 6 years in jail plus deportation sounds fine to me (though I'd like to hope it really is 6 years).
