I wonder whether it has occurred to the Editor that the very people most likely to vote FOR keeping ChatterBank are the same ones who have multiple user-names! Doesn't it seem rather like the old joke about the Irish politician? He urged his constituents..."Vote early and vote often!"

If whiffey used all his aliases to vote it would be a landslide
It's pointless having the vote anyway (even though I did), we all know that it won't live beyond the week- some folk won't be able to stop themselves and the plug will be pulled from it.
I don't really care if it stays or goes. I was happy with the PMing thing.

Hope it doesn't go just because some pixels decided to be spiteful though. That would seem a shame.
Hi Quizzy Long time no see, hope you are OK. Is this hatterbank so I can ask about you? I admit to having a couple of usernames but only for emergencies and would never insult or degrade another person. I don't suppose this Chatterbank will be any different from the last disaster as there appears to be some really horrible people on here. But it's nice to have somewhere where we can ask others how they are doing.
Neti called us horrible :-(
It would be much like one of the regions in the Nigerian general election where 2,000 votes were counted for a population of only 500.
Ha flipping ha Sylar.

I'll bet you can't name even one of my so-called aliases.
i havent bothered voting.

ive no doubt that cb will stay.
as ive said its a cynical ploy by ab ed to relocate folk from body n soul .
if they shut cb then it will just continue on body n soul.

if you cant se that youve still got your eyes shut.
BOO get back to Chatterbank and you are never horrible. How did you escape from the hallowed portals??
I tunnelled out Neti using last years platinum subscription gift- the silver plated (hah!) spoon.

But yes, sorry, i'll go back now boss tugs forelock sorry.
The vote is a close run thing at the moment but I do agree with you QM.

Also, if Chatterbank is being brought back in an attempt to return Body and Soul to its original purpose, does that mean if Chatterbank is not a success over this coming week, that 'chat' will be banned from Body and Soul?
Didn't think of that Genesis!

Do you think it will be a case of "if you can't play nicely in this shiny new playroom, we'll take your toys off you"?
Hi QM
It's too soon to vote - I'll see how it progresses.

I only have one user-name & I've had it so long I said it when someone in a shop asked me for my name!
Obviously I spend too long on here. :o)
I am waiting until the last minute to sell my vote as the price will be higher
I am experiencing voter apathy.
What have the Chatterbankers ever done for us?

Can anyone convince me to leave the warm comfort of my home to go out in a cold dark evening to cast my vote? Besides, Strictly Come Dancing is on.
To quote the Ed ... "this will only be a trial period. If it fails then it will be gone forever"

So, vote NO for AB Chatterbank, keep all the fighting in B&S and AB Suggs, where it belongs.

Dammit, no 'cynical' smiley on here either?
Interesting. If at the end of a week there is a vote in favour of rejecting Chatterbank, will they pull it ?

It's back after absolutely categorical denials from the ED that it would ever be revived. Why ?

To me anyway, it makes absolute sense to keep it. There has been far far more trouble and of a more vicious kind in B&S since Chatterbank was last closed. Closing CB won't change human nature.
But whiffey that was a different Ed altogether, this one seems much nicer and hands on than the last one, who didn't stay long and never commented upon anything.
Another thing. Can 'greenies' vote? Can the Ed or the techies see who has voted? If yes to both, then I would suggest that the 'green vote' be taken with a pinch of salt. I can foresee quite a few new accounts being set up (both in the 'for' and 'against 'camps) to try to sway the vote.
As far as I am aware, you don't even need to be registered to cast a vote on the AB Poll.

No doubt, all votes will be taken with a 'pinch of salt' and the AB Ed will decide whether the aye's have it or the nay's.
