My dad has been with his gf for nearly 4 yrs now. she wasnt too bad at 1st but in the last two years shes gone so weird, my dads 43 and shes 25. They lived together at 1 point but then has now moved into her own flat as she has violent outbursts when she has a drink and attacks my dad. things were going ok at first then she started drinking more heavily when she went out and taking cocaine. It emerged last week that whilst she was out she took a guy (who knows both her and my dad quite well) back to her flat and had sex with him! She has told my dad that she cant remember anything and that shes sorry and wouldnt have done it if she hadnt of been so drunk. I hate her and can never forgive her for hurting my dad AND me so much in the last 2 yrs. My dad has forgiven her and blames the guy for taking advantage, i try to tell my dad that she will do it again and even if she doesnt shes not worth anything i mean its not like its the first thing shes done. my dad doesnt listen to me and i know that if i gave him an ultimatum he would choose her over me, because he feels shes lost the plot and needs his help. I dont know what to do to just show him i care and want whats best for him.....

I think you should let the relationship take its own course but just be there for your Dad when he needs you...

actually no, she didnt use protection makes it ten times worse, she has been checked out at the local sexual health clinic and my dad isnt on great speaking terms since it happened but is considering getting back. i havent seen her yet though and when i do i am going to get my own bak! Even better iv got something planned for the other t***er who took part in this act. I think wen ppl play games with real lives they forget how many ppl it hurts and how many ppl can sort it out.
loza. Your Dad is an adult and has to make his own descision, albeit a bad one! In his heart he knows that his girlfriend was completely to blame, not the other guy 'taking advantage.'
I don't think issuing an altimatum is the answer, although I think you must have a shaky relationship at best with your Dad if you think that he would choose this flighty, immature woman over his own flesh and blood. That is far more worrying than the fact that he may take her back.
You don't say how old you are loza and I would make several suggestions if I knew this. As it stands, you really cannot do much except stand back and watch him make a complete fool of himself and just be ready to help him pick up the pieces. Hopefully though, he may see sense this time.

Le Chat. I am 20 years old. This is why it bothers me so much as me and my dad are so close and i dont want to see him get hurt. I am pleased to say he has ended the relationship 2 days ago as she made out this guy had totally taken advantage and that she couldnt stand him, only he walked into his local pub to find her in the exact same pub as him, and it obviously didnt bother her at all. I hope he doesnt go back I babysit for my brothers most weekends in hope that my dad will have more of a social life and forget all about her x just hope it works x thanks for your help x
Let your dad lead his life...
I'm sure you wouldn't want him nosing around in your relationships.
He's an adult and has to live with whatever decisions he makes....

Concentrate on your own life!
I expect your Dad is flattered that he could attract someone considerably younger. I hope he can attract someone else to distract him from his now ex girlfriend and convince him that he deserves someone better.
