If you're talking about a UK election then

No

Check the closing date to register for a postal vote. Otherwise you will have to vote at your local polling booth with I/D

A shame Niko Omilana's not standing again

Every Muslim in London will vote and will have been told, 'vote early & vote often.' 😄

I don't tho I they will need to: Sadiq Khan will win comfortably if the polls are any guide

I was pondering this the other day and it looks like I will be voting for Khan again. I just cannot gel with the other candidates.

"Every Muslim in London will vote and will have been told, 'vote early & vote often.' "

Many of them won't have to worry. Their duly signed postal (but otherwise blank) voting forms will have been collected by the "village elders" for safe completion and transport to the Town Hall.

The abuse Khan has had to take from some quarters is scandalous. A lot of it from people who - rightly - condemn antisemitism.

He is stll AFAIK a member of the Jewish Labour Movement

and his opponent can't tell the difference between London and New York, which might be thought a disadvantage.

Not the helping hand from party HQ she would have been looking to

Just from interest, smurfey, what on Earth prompts you to suggest voting might be carried out online? There has never been an election in the UK with online voting. Quite honestly that's just as well because with UK governments' appaling record with IT projects, I doubt it would ever get off  the ground and if it did it wouldn't work and would be insecure.

London bubble - rest of country says "Meh".

davebro. It's a London vote.

17.23 N. Judge - I can vouch for the truth of that procedure regarding elections - up North at least.  I was told so often by kids, bursting with pride, that the elders had been round at their house last night to fill in their parents' voting forms and show them where to sign.   It  was held to be an honour.  That's why I think postal voting should be severely restricted.

//davebro. It's a London vote.//

That's my point - WE don't care!

Davebro; if you don't care, then butt out.

davebro. I live in London and will be voting. If you live in London you will be able to vote.

Living outside London doesn't mean you can't have an opinion even if you don't have a vote.

London has what - 50% immigrants, rest of the country 20%. Khan is tied on - go figure.
