If the money is so She ite why pick that career? get a job you like instead of holding the unwell public to ransom. Disgusting tools should be ashamed of themselves. Impose the already generous rise and fire those that don't go back.

brainiac, did you see today's thread about Sqad passing away.

/// Very few of them will leave, we must call their bluff. ///

Open your eyes - lots have already left and emigrated. It will only get worse.

Australia is very popular with medical/nursing staff atm. As is USA.

New Zealand I where loads go.

They don't get paid enough.

Get shut of the diversity and inclusion 'officers' also the millions paid on translators...and give them that money.

"Impose the the already generous rise and fire those who don't go back"

How do you propose to do that?

You can't fire people at the drop of a hat.

You can dismiss them if they refuse turn up for work

^refuse to...

new mod army, if it's properly balloted strike, you'd have wait at least 12 weeks. Even then it can be difficult.

Not happening in Scotland (yet)

I look at that lot and despair at the fact that I have to trust them with my health.

you cd always go to a faith healer - or sqad, he had very reasonable private rates....

sqad was in the category of " I have stuffed their mouths with gold" so he didnt need to....

but you really always knew that didnt you?

well, here's a junior junior doctor: basic wage £14 an hour.

I pay a gardener £12 an  hour for mowing, pruning and weeding and occasionally planting.

"[Australian] Doctors in their second year typically earn between £43,000-£49,000 according to health job website Messly, which is £9,000-£15,000 more than doctors in their second year of work in England."

That's rowlocks jno, they use creative accounting to look like that. They are on at least £32K even while training. Their salaries are here:

https://www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/explore-roles/doctors/pay-doctors

which of those are junior doctors?

I guess our hero wants rid of the NHS altogether, to keep the less well off in their place.

Make them work a bit harder, maybe some could even retrain to be... doctors

// They are on at least £32K //

Disgraceful. The thieving ***. Healing us and everything. I could do that for half the price.

Question Author

Doctors in training get £32-37k so it follows that working qualified ones get more. All they do is work out the hours they do and quote an hourly rate. It may be arithmetically accurate but they are salaried NOT hourly paid.

Question Author

23:01 those figures are to illustrate they are not in the penuary they claim. They already had 10%+ 6 months ago, now they want 35%. What rise did you get?
