I`m just curious how they get into these venues, do they buy a ticket which is supporting that which they despise or break in which immediately puts them on the wrong side of the law.

untitled: "Climate change activists do protest and disrupt countries like india, china, and the USA... often at great personal risk to themselves " - great, I don't see much of it on the news.
If they had no publicity of their antics they would soon stop. Can the Press not be asked to stop publishing photos and the TV news to stop filming
If they are so interested in environment i would punish them by making them clean up our rivers and streets, make them do something useful with their time.
They got up onto the stage during the opera at Glyndebourne a couple of weeks ago. Not when I was there thank goodness. It costs a fortune to get in so no idea if they paid or not. It's a large estate so perhaps they crawled through a few hedges and over a few fields to get there.
They are just antagonising people, not drawing them to their cause. Middle class people who don't need to go to work every day so I read, who hold the traffic up of people who do need to go to work every day.
" don't see much of it on the news."

that is exactly the point toratoratora
i would have thought it quite difficult to enter wimbledone without a ticket... presumably they purchased them

i don't see any evidence that JSO "despises" wimbledon any more than they despise snooker or roads... they don't do this out of animosity toward the venues!

I think they got to Wimbers using the First service bus.

Just go with oil. That's what I say! :o)
I don't know if due to cutbacks the practise has stopped but on the many occasions I attended Wimbledon in the past there was always a large contingent of uniformed members of the armed forces in attendance at all the courts acting as stewards. I'm surprised there were none on hand at this demonstration to escort them quickly from the court and 'demonstrate to them the error of their ways' on the way out.
//If they want publicity, they are getting it. Not a day goes by without a protest somewhere .//

But not the right publicity. These heroes and champions of the scared witless are not heroic enough. It took a woman to show how to get their way in the protest movement by throwing herself under a horse. We need martyrs for anyone to really take notice. A few hundred JSO lunatics throwing themselves under 36 ton oil tankers may make someone sit up and take notice particularly funeral directors
The old fella who was dragged off the Wimbledon court , looked like a cross between Mr Pastry ( those of us who remember him) and Harold Steptoe with the ‘mad insane’ look he had on his face
Oh dear Bobbi
Mr Hearn and Wilfred. I'm old enough to remember them both. :-(
Mick,Moront Marency seems to ring a bell also.
Please, Suella, give the cops the right to taser these prats! That would solve it.
TV news bulletins simply should not report it or show pictures of it; same with newspapers and radio. That way, you'd only know something had occurred is if you were watching/listening live.
how many of their detractors have ever actually stood up for anything? not signed a petition, not written a letter, not posted on the answerbank.... actually done something?

i am sure people were very inconvenienced and annoyed by the tactics of the civil rights movement and they were probably quite unpopular... but they were also right and they won

we all benefit today from victories that were hard-won by people who were annoying and impolite and disruptive... it is easy indeed to sneer at them while you quietly enjoy those things!!!
Aye, Untitled, but me starting my car isn't quite the same as sending kids up chimneys or transporting miscreants to the other side of the world for stealing bread.

Save any further keystrokes, I don't care.
they aren't protesting against you starting your car
To borrow a phrase, righto.
