Starmer was never a “staunch supporter of Corbyn” (!)
It’s true he was in his shadow cabinet, but thank God there were some decent people in that. Sometimes you have to bide your time and go with the flow and if that means a bit of provisional loyalty to an unsuitable leader, now to the fury of the true Corbynites turning on him - well that’s ok with me
