...after spending half a century in the slammer, surely the outside world would prove a very difficult place. He's never had to worry about bills etc and the daily struggle we all must endure. Personally I don't think it's safe to let him out but surprised he even wants to get out.

I don't think he'd have to worry about money. He'd get his state pension and he probably has a lot of savings from the sale of his artworks.
Oooh, Charles Bronson. What a wonderful actor, loved him in Death Wish and The Magnificent Seven.
Now, now, maggie, don't be obtuse. Although Bronson goes by the name of Salvador these days, it does get confusing
I couldn't care less how he will or will not cope in today's world but if his freedom presents a risk to the public he should be left where he is.
Should the actor have reverted back to his real name to avoid confusion? Charles Dennis Buchinsky.
It's a difficult one isnt it. He has been punished far more than others who have committed far worse crimes.

However I cant see how he can have much quality of live in the outside world. However 'hard' you are the world has changed massively and it will be a very scary place.

As regards money, i'm fairly sure one of the 'rags' will offer him quite a large sum for the 'inside' story, so to speak.
he would probably do well imho, tv interviews magazines newspaper
etc, the book the movie, i know there is a movie already, but not one where he get's out and his memories of his time inside, and or regrets.
You can't polish a turd.

Keep him where he is and give the rest of us one less thing to worry about.
I dont think money is the issue.
Not money, no, mental health most likely.

He does have the advantage of having the 'mental' part covered.
Well he is institutionalized. Prisoners with 20 years struggle upon release, he has 50.

The World has changed dramatically, that would be difficult for anyone to cope with let alone with all the media hype. He wont be able to settle quietly anywhere as the MSM will out him every time. So it will be from 50 years in a cell to full limelight. It wont end well for him.
He has proved to be something of a loose cannon over the decades. Is eligibility for release will certainly be a test for each member that sits on the parole board!

I'd be more inclined to set him free had he been in a stable relationship with someone whose temperament was akin to say Prudie or Barsel!!
ymg, nelson mandella spent 27 years in prison and coped ok when released.
Meanwhile Kenneth Noye, sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering Stephen Cameron in a road rage incident whilst on licence from prison in 1996 after being convicted of complicity and laundering money in the notorious Brinks Mat robbery, and subsequently killing an on duty police officer and being found not guilty of murder has been free to enjoy his life for many years. He was also a police "informer" for many years. Mind how you go.
19.32 tut tut tut!!
The amount of folk wanting to keep him there shows just what an uncaring society we have become.

Shame on the blinkered bigots, so well ensconced within their pathetic little comfort zones.
It is bizarre- he has been punished so much more, for so much less, than many others. It's almost like how you behave in prison is what matters most.
