// the Lib Dems are just bags of wind, //

Yet it's these bags of wind that are most likely to gain at the expense of the Tories in the next GE.
no they won't.
what do they stand for?
// what do they stand for? //

Since the autumn Lib Dem conference was cancelled its difficult to say.

We shall have to wait for the publication of their manifesto nearer the GE, whenever that may be.
2024.
Right in my opinion.
Mr Littejohn is a very experienced columnist, and like all successful columnists, he remembers lesson number one - know your audience.

This enables him to provide yards of material they want to hear, with just enough provocation to get the tea cups rattling over the breakfast tables of Middle England.

He does it well, but it's not hard to do.

Neither is it insightful properly researched serious journalism.

He is'right' because he mirrors what his readership think.
//He is 'right' because he mirrors what his readership think.//

So you are implying that he is wrong. Please say how you disagree with his piece.
I have been telling you all what is wrong with the (various) Tory Governments for years and you have been vehemently disagreeing.
Littlejohn says it, and you all suddenly in agreement.
(Strange he has been slavishly supporting everything they have done since 2010, but suddenly he has realised they have become unelectable).

I am not implying anything - that is your conclusion based, incorrectly, on my post, which you have misinterpreted.

If I thought Mr Littlejohn was wrong, or indeed right, I would have said so.

I offered no opinion on his piece, you concluded that have, which is incorrect.

Dave, just because you haven't the grace to accept your error does not excuse your rudeness which is reported

If you gave something pertinent to say in a civil tone, I look forward to it.

Further rudeness will be both ignored and reported.
fender; erm; you're beginning to sound a bit like Dave Spart! :-)
Right, always .
Was fender doing it on purpose? I may have underestimated him.

Have you been possessed by PP? That is as incomprehensible as his finer efforts.

That's total BS and you know it. He is either right or he's wrong (in substance). If I say the earth is flat and my readership agree, am I right? Your weasel words are a device for saying that in your opinion he is wrong but declining to provide any argument as to why you think so. End of.
