Sqad.
// a survey of UK ophthalmologists reported more than 150 incidents of eye injuries involving laser pointers since 2013//
Sqad, fair enough but this is the sentence to note, imo:

"...In 2017, the Government called for evidence into the regulation of laser pointers after a survey of UK ophthalmologists reported more than 150 incidents of eye injuries involving laser pointers since 2013..."

I suspect pilots were more than 50 yards from perpetrators too ;)
Snap, danny :)
danny......that was nearly ten years ago, laser production and regulation has changed since then,so we will have to agree to disagree.
L-i k , Just had another look at the video and I think you are right.I did see a momentary flash of light on his right cheek.

the green lazer pens can be dangerous because some are imported from the USA and we know their laws are more relaxed

who is to know how powerful the lazer is? in full lighting it was able to be printed across the goalkeeprs face so it had some power to it
The lazer lager pig must have also been surrounded by other pigs, you can't tell me he wasn't seen by others doing it, in crowds like that he must have had to hold it way up in the air,
Good God what a load of waffle this thread is !!! Was the goalkeeper hurt ? NO, but the debate goes on and on and on and on and on. As boring as football itself, and let's face it they only won because of a pathetic own goal !!

A little cat I knew many years ago had a laser shined into its eyes whilst held down by a thug and the ******* blinded the little cat who very rarely moved from his back garden again. I care more about this innocent creature than a footballer !!

It was only a "own goal" by technicality... It was going in regardless in the only attempt to defend the goal, it clipped an opponents foot because they tried to clear the ball but it was impossible, it was going in no matter what. It wasn't really a proper own goal...

Anyhow without being bias for Engurland (its coming home!!) did anyone see the two balls on the just before the penalty was awarded?
Well thats whats wrong with this country BS people like you just accept this as being ok because it didn't appear to do any damage, OR, may be damage young minds to think this is ok to do???
i couldnt care less about football,BS but it does offend my sense of fair play
For what little I've watched of football over the years, England have always played a clean game compared to other countries, its only ever the pigs that turn it sour, and they never fail to do that.
teacake, I cannot disagree with your sentiment.
burleyshirley: "As boring as football itself, and let's face it they only won because of a pathetic own goal !!" - once again a spectacular ignorance is demonstrated!
"I agree 100% with TTT"

SQAD, have a read of this link and then tell me if you think my post is, "hysterical and non sensical" still.

Right, wrong , did he, didn't he, was it, wasn't it, The referee is there to do one job. In his eyes, he did his job, and it was agreed by video also. the match is over. Pity there's not a few referees in the crowds.
13:40, I need a lie down!
damn dangerous them lasers.....
