Saw on BBC news tonight, 4 men attacked 2 gay women and apparently have been arrested. Nothing much to say except aren't they brave ? The words I would like to use are not printable !!
Rant over.

gay or not, one does not attack ladies...i hope they get a good seeing to.
Not satisfied with taunting they displayed their cowardice with violence - pathetic.
I read about that, good for the girls for standing up to them and refusing to snog for their amusement, they might have got beaten but they remain unbeaten.
As to the 'men' kids between 15 and 18 apparently whose parents haven't done a very good job :(
Disgraceful apologies for humans.
I wonder how they knew these unfortunate women were gay in the first place!
I don't suppose we get a description of the alleged attackers until they have been charged and dealt with. I hope they are, then, named and shamed

I am sure that you didn't sound that to sound quite as 'victim-blaming' as it did....
A look, a word, an affectionate gesture can all 'give the game away' if you let your guard down.
It's been on the BBC website all day. Arrests have been made.

The world is going mad. Seems the last lot of parents have failed to bring up as many decent citizens as previous generations managed. Every day some seem to need to be more outrageous than before.
I am certainly not victim blaming. A similar question was posed by Danny early into the 'Ch4 advertising' thread.
It would appear that whilst the LGBT community celebrate their coming out and pride marches there are certain elements in the community who do not share their enthusiasm.I give you, probably, most of the inhabitants of Brick Lane and the East End of London to name some.
One Spanish guy and three English guys have been arrested aged between 15 and 18.
in my day acts of affection, were holding hands peck on the cheek
today it seems no holds barred, gay or not there's a time and a place.
Thanks LB. That link gives a better picture of events.
"If you let your guard down" such sad, sad words and even sadder that some have to keep their guard up for fear of dregs like this...... :-(
oh i forgot...you would also get slap if anything more occurred..ladies
This happened a week ago. I wonder if the perpetrators would have been caught so quickly (or even at all) if the victim hadn't posted on social media?
So were you often in the habit of getting handsy and slapped then Fender?
Quite, gness.
Otherwise you'd be accused of 'flaunting' your sexuality and 'asking for it'.

Been there.....had that done.... :o(
wouldn't call them men. The word I'd use would probably get me banned
I punched a girl once squarely in the face.

It was my big sister and I did it because she ripped down one of my Human League posters in about 1983(ish).

I was 12 she was 15, and she kicked seven colours of excrement out of me. Never again.

OK, the above is tongue in cheek (but true), but for my money, any man who raises a hand to a woman is a pathetic dickless coward.
Calicogirl, absolutely not, we were taught manners and the queens english...gentlemen and as it should be.
