She chose to become a Royal along with all that which goes with the position, which will entail meeting various dignities that one may not particularly like for one reason or another.

I think that this one time American actress will continue to cause embarrassment, not only to our long standing Royal Family but also to the tolerant British people.

Well, almost everybody ;-)
AOG - one needs to read the whole reply including the smiley wink , done just for you.

No link.
AOG, You are making assumptions that are not made in the article. You are the one that added the word snub.Has Meghan Markle contacted you to say why she will not be attending the lunch?

I did and if you hadn't started it off by the word "reportedly" meaning it had been reported, then it might have been a trifle funny to some, but let's face it you did not include the smiley just for me, since you took the trouble to enter such a post, it was you yourself who thought it a funny post.
Please report my reply with your given reasons, I'm quite sure the Ed will see it warranting removal.

At this moment , on a scale from 1-100 this matter doesn't make my scale.
1 up to Camilla for avoiding this *diva's* wedding. She is proving herself to be a gold digging social climber.
Tambo, Camilla?
Camilla didnt attend Meghan's wedding, feigning prior appointments.
Oh! ok. Incidentally, where is the evidence that the Duchess of Sussex is a gold digger?
Off with her head!! Leave the lassie alone - there is no law that says she has to attend every royal event is there?

The word snub was in the Daily Mail's headline ie: 'Meghan snubs Trump' it has also been reported as such by other news publications and certain Radio Stations.

World wide:

Think you need to read another newspaper AOG. The Daily Wail is hardly an authority on royal protocol - what they don't know they make up for gullible readers to lap up.
AOG, then they, like you, are making assumptions without any foundation. There is nothing in the articles to say why she will not be attending the lunch. Just another case of Meghan bashing.

" there is no law that says she has to attend every royal event is there?"

No there isn't....just protocol, but a visit of the president of the United States and his family, arguably the most powerful man in the world, must surely go down as a Must.
Sqad, for all we know she could be Hors-de-combat for one reason or another.
danny...maybe! maybe!

Always willing to oblige, but then you did ask.

Must disagree with you there Sqad. There is no MUST about it. Trump is a Johnny Come Lately who will disappear into the ether while Meghan will continue to be a member of the royal family.
