Perhaps more worrying are those idiots who use daytime running lights after dark, apparently believing that they do the same job as headlights. That results in other drivers being dazzled and the idiot drivers having no rear lights on their vehicles.
Seeing some of the answers on these pages relating to queries on various aspects of road use worries me.
It shows how extra vigilant we all need to be when driving.
....with some new cars, your rear lights come on at the same time as the DRLs. A friend with a new SEAT noticed this, along with the fact that all the lights on his car are LED - even the headlamps.
you put your lights on so that people can see you
so sidelights are not working for this
and to see better you again need your lights on
I just cannot understand anyone putting them on!
