I'm on the water too - thinning out the weed in my pond at last.

Just to be clear, when I say 'on' the water, I mean next to it - the pond's only 10 feet across. I suspect it's the hot weather that's heightened the weed growth. I have a few golden orfe and I think they'll appreciate the more open water. I do get a lot of satisfaction out of the pond. It attracts so much wildlife to the garden and the sound of splashing water from the pumps is very relaxing.

I'm fine. I have to go and get blood tests today. Boring

fine ta.. waiting for oh to confirm his friends are visiting tomorrow before I know what's happening today..if so will have to do shopping today..however as this will be the third time ..having failed to show up twice in recent times after I had prepared a buffet, I am not holding my breath !

Morning good people, not sure who I am more envious of... your plan is wonderfully relaxing Boaty, but I loved getting stuck into a bit of water gardening, especially the bits where you move the weed and realise the fish have been breeding and the fry are all over the place. I used to leave the wildlife pond alone except for thinning out the reeds and irises in the autumn. The goldfish pond needed a good sort out all that fish poo makes the plants grow like crazy....
Hairdresser today, and putting the place back to normal now mum has gone, amazing how disruptive one old lady can be.
