No,she wants to become a surgeon and is taking drugs. She deserves a prison sentence.
I don't care how clever she is, she's a wrong un, down she goes.
No she shouldn't, she should take her punishment and then become a doctor.
she stabbed a bloke in the leg out of her head on charlie, she's entered the priory as a self confessed addict. Do we want surgeons like this?
She wouldn't be allowed to become a doctor if she goes to prison!

I'm in two minds about this....

She certainly deserves to go to prison.....BUT.....a Criminal record will prevent her ever becoming a Surgeon and perhaps it is more beneficial for Society as a whole if she is allowed to persue her chosen career?

No.
All medical students have aspirations......very few achieve them.
She is a woman.
She is slightly built .
She is psycholabile.
The chances of her becoming a surgeon are small..
Her sentence should depend upon common law with her aspirations being of no consequence.
perhaps she was merely practicing on the night if the incident eh jack? No way I'd put lives inthe hands of a drug addict with a sharp instrument.
I wonder what the figures are for alcoholic Surgeons, TGT?

Like I said, based solely on what I have read, I am in two minds about what should happen to her.
Sqad, psycholabile?
hc...LOL...LOL...yes i made that up LOL.
You know what I mean though,......mentally fragile.
She attacked her boyfriend because he tried to get help for her....

If she truly wanted to become a surgeon when did she think she would have to start behaving in a way that could help her towards her desires?

She should be treated as anyone else would be.......
hc - best I can do...

Re: psycholabile
The lability is "the character of an unstable and changing mood." Lability is found in hysterical and manic attacks.

mamy....wow! so there IS a word.
Thanks, mamya :)
Not very commonly used outside certain circles, but yes.
TTT - I think you're very naive if you think doctors or surgeons never take drugs.
The routine IS....you become a surgeon first and THEN you take drugs.
She has opted to take drugs BEFORE she has started her training.
Big difference.
where did I say that?
