We could look again at the decision to leave. If we changed our minds then Eastern Europe and Portugal could continue to supply workers
ZM I don't understand your reference to missiles and Corbyn. What has that to do with Brexit?
Question Author
North Korea / missiles. No?
Eddie says they're going home to earn more money, Sandy.
Are you suggesting we have quotas, like with the illegal immigrants. Get the EU army to round so many up and say ' you WILL work in the UK'.
Question Author
There are no quotas for illegal immigrants.
cassa33, Possibly you can suggest where we are going to find the 100s of thousands of tax and NI paying workers to replace those EU citizens who will go home rather than stay where they do not feel welcome or feel insecure. Over 10,000 have left in the last 3 months alone!
Question Author
See, I told you it was working.
Spicerack you really do talk some rubbish!
Leaving the EU can not have any effect on illegal immigrants as they are illegal. No one knows how many there are, as they do not officially exist.
But with the loss of legal workers from the EU we may have to resort to offering immunity to illegals if they agree to sign up as tax and NI paying employees.
must be awful for the 5th column collaborators.
It can be as easy as one wants to make it. It's not Brexit that's difficult, it's trying to get the EU folk to act rational during POST Brexit trade negotiations etc..
Mark Steel, well known anti British "comic" spitting the dummy out because the wicked public gave the wrong answer, more sour grapes from the Vichy British.
In the unlikely event that there are fields of rotting apples then there are at least two solutions.

First one can check the welfare and employment rules to ensure a) no employer is trying to pay less or offer less than a lower paid job in the UK should, and b) no one can afford to refuse a decent job offer and has access to whatever psychological help they require to return to a confident and enthusiastic state of mind.

Or second, one can instead deduce that fruit growing is not a viable business opportunity in the UK, with it's high cost/high wage economy, and the land should be turned over to something more likely to create wealth.
Don't talk common sense, OG. They don't like it.
We always had schemes where continental fruit pickers came to the UK. Before the EU and during. Worked very well too.
It was only when we signed up to the free movement of people they were discontinued.

Mark Steel Spokesman for luvvies everywhere, the Layboor left and Remoaners daily medicine administration. As funny as piles but not half as presentable. Haha "a little bit of sugar will make your medicine go down".
Have separatist fanatics managed to copyright the phrases why can't, why won't, why doesn't Europe, how can they and it's just not fair prior to their slide back to the 1950s?

They seriously think that because a few lying, conniving politicians have sold them a dream that the whole of the remaining EU, as a collective, just wants to give a firm handshake and best wishes for the future.

Amazing

I thought when I started reading that you were talking aboot wee Burnie. Uncannily accurate if you change Europe to England and the 1950s to the 1650s.
Proper British jobs such as knight, chimney sweep, coming 26th in Eurovision and weeing in a foreign fountain will be reserved for BRITISH workers

I doubt it.

Good heavens, I thought the Brexit vision was a nostalgia trip back to a century or so ago but is it actually the 1650s that are aimed for ? Surely I must have read that intention wrong..........

For once you are right.
