Baz....I saw this earlier today, and I was shocked....what a dreadful thing to do.

But as this suspected assailant was stupid enough to think it was a good idea to have his face tattooed, the Police shouldn't have too much problem locating him.
Hope he gets a long prison sentence. That poor woman.
What a hateful despicable attack - sickening.
We can only imagine the pain she must be in. The BBC said that these injuries were life-changing. She will be having treatment, including skin grafts, for a very long time to come. Lets hope he is caught ASAP.

I saw it on the news last night .

I shudder when i think of the pain and suffering , both physical and psychological now and into the future .

A truly horrible and wicked act
Question Author
The pictures doesn't show the injuries to the guy , but he was horribly injured as well
Yes I saw that on Channel 4 News. I was staggered at the figures quoted for acid attacks. Presumably by no means not all probable hate crimes of course, but wasn't it over 400 last year?
Sorry I can't open the link - was this the one where he attacked the girl at her 21st birthday celebrations and her cousin or brother was also injured?
Question Author
indeed - yes
vile, nasty and evil thing to do.
Hope he's caught and a judge gives him more than the maximum sentence (whatever that is)
Those poor folk, hope they are given a lot of assistance.
Thanks Bazile, disgusting cowardly crime and I hope he gets the full force of the law thrown at him!
It is evil. It's a quick and easy way to maim someone without getting into a scuffle and making sure their injuries will effect them for the rest of their lives. Sick!
it seems to be getting more common these days, no idea why anyone would do that. I'm probably being naive here but where do they buy the acid? I mean it can't be in Asda can it? Surely it's a controlled dangerous chemical.
frightening danny
seems to be the weapon of choice in pakistan and india, for some reason..cheap and has lasting effects, guess thats the reason, cowardly is not the word..id love to have a few moments with people whp do such things...few minutes
Sadly in India and Pakistan it is quite a common crime.

Many husbands do it to their wife if they wont give them a divorce.

Sad world we live in. Aren't some humans awful.
What always appalls me about it is the pre-meditation.

People do dreadful things in the heat of the moment, but this is not that. You have to think about doing it, go and obtain the acid, carry it with you, and launch it at your victim - all that takes cold calculated planning, and that is what is so irredeemably horrible about it.
Good point Andy. To maintain the anger long enough to do all that is inconceivable, they must be psychotic.
i think the idea is to make the victim suffer forever, and that no one will want them ie wives girlfriends etc, i cannot have you, so no one else will either, nasty beyond words...it really makes me rage with anger at such loathsome cowardly ingrates, who deserve a good kicking with no holds barred, pray for death
