Theresa Playing An Underhand Card
Could Theresa May be playing an extremely clever pro-Remain card?
Think of it this way - the big winners in this election are likely to be the Tories, as (let's be honest) - Labour are unelectable with Jerry in charge.
But aside from the Conservatives, who else is likely to do well?
The Lib Dems might see votes going to them from Remainers as they are more vocal in their calls for the UK to remain in the EU.
The biggest losers in this election are surely UKIP?
So, Theresa - who we know is a Remainer, calls a snap election to bolster her position, but at the same time, kill UKIP and send a 'soft Brexit' message to the country?
Is this possible?

I don't think it is hogwash. I think she has had a taste of just how difficult it might be to push through the Brexit she would like, and is gambling that she can ease that process greatly. It could be a really good call, but it is not without risk. She will no doubt gain some voters who would normally vote for other parties, but she will likely lose some as well. I hope, and suspect, she will increase her majority, but I doubt it will be by quite as many as the polls were indicating yesterday.
Garaman; If the polls are simply asking "How will you vote", as it is on Ed's AB thread, you cannot extrapolate, with a first past the post system, what the outcome of a general election will be, its all about the marginal constituencies, and with consideration of that, on last night's Sky News, it appears the Conservatives are looking at a large majority in their favour.
where did you get the idea TM is a remainer SP? She was in the government when the PM at the time was leading the remain camp. She kept quiet an backed remain limply, assuming they would win, like many, including me did, so she could still be in favour with the then PM. She is proving to be a brilliant tactician, I think she is really a brexiter and will push that through with vigor.

ichi; I really can't understand why people think that as circumstances alter (or even if they don't) a person shouldn't change their mind, what is it that makes you, " sit back and smile".
